maedeup 매듭
Maedeup is the traditional Korean art of decorative knotting, a centuries-old practice of tying cord into symmetrical, sculptural forms. It is the through-line of much of my work: a slow, meditative craft that I bring into commissions, workshops, and my own art practice.

Custom maedeup pieces, each knot tied by hand, created and designed around the person it is made for.

corporate workshops (norigae bag charms)
For corporate workshops, I handcraft the maedeup knots in advance so participants can focus on assembling their own norigae-inspired bag charms and keyrings. Each person chooses beads, charms, and tassels to create something personal to take home.
